Fantastic experience in a cosy and relaxed environment.Lovely product and super friendly service. Could use more wines in the list, but I was allowed to bring my own and that is priceless.

Authentic Japanese sushi restaurant that delivers an exceptional value and quality omakase experience. Managed to book a lunch table and it didn’t disappoint me. All the sushi are very good and I particularly like the tuna and also prawn as Spanish prawn is really delicious. Sushi chef is very attentive and professional and accommodates my partner food intolerances request as well. Surely there is better one in Barcelona and you need to pay much more 50 and that’s why I could not really recommend it enough! I will definitely come back again when I visit Barcelona next time and will explore other sushi places as well!

Wonderful experience at sako i tanaka. Food was exceptional, we had the omakase menu at the bar and everything was prepared with such care. At the end, we asked to repeat a few items. Desserts are clearly not an afterthought. Service was exceptional: low key and alert, making everything comfortable for us. They brought extra dessert (truffles and carquinyoli) when they realized we wanted to share, so we would each have one. We did not ask; really lovely. It is very small, and gets booked out very quickly. Can only recommend

Reservation is almost impossible to get. I check their website every day and rarely I can manage to get weekday lunch for 1 person. The long menu at 45 is insanely cheap. Unbeatable value

Seven years after my first visit I finally made it back to Sato i Tanaka today for lunch and it lived up to all my great memories. I had the “short” menu that included 9 nigiri and 3 maki along with an appetizer, tea, miso soup, and desert. The chef makes each piece while you watch and serves them one by one. Lunch included Tuna belly, cooked in a broth, Squid, Tiger prawn with olive oil and salt, Scallop with butter, Smoked bonito, Blue fin tuna loin, Blue fin belly(toro), Toro with quail egg yolk, Red prawn with olive oil and salt, Tuna belly maki with roast sesame, and Unagi. Desert was Miso ice cream which I had never had before, but it was a great way to finish the meal. Hopefully it won’t be 7 yrs until my next visit!
