A restaurant with over 200 years of history, and the atmosphere inside is amazing. Although I had to wait in line for a long time, it was totally worth it. The food was delicious, and I really love places with a rich history. It’s full of warmth and character.

Unfortunately we were let down by the high expectations we had for this place.Group type: business mealNegatives:- chaotic service- confusing menu- language barrier, for a group of 9 people it was extremely difficult trying to communicate our food requirements. There was a lot of time spent trying to communicate which really exhausted the purpose of our meal to relax and enjoy everything.- payment difficulties, again going back to the communication, it was so hard trying to split the bill ask for things etc- due to all the exhaustion it was clear that the restaurant staff weren’t happy with us. Being in service at least you can try to be helpful and nice.Positives;- super authentic atmosphere- tasty food- central location- very spacious

Definitely get the squid with garlic - it was incredible and my favourite dish. I can understand why so many people posted about it on Instagram. We also got the fish and seafood soup, which was alright, had only a few small chunks of fish and prawn so don’t expect anything significant. The seafood paella was a bit too salty for my liking, only get this if you’re a seafood lover as there is a strong fish / shellfish taste. I personally don’t eat much lamb (if at all) but my partner liked the suckling lamb shoulder. It gets busy in the evenings so definitely book in advance. We arrived right when it opened and could see the list of reservations on the lady’s clipboard! We came on a Saturday night.

Very nice, quiet place since 1786. At least when we visited, making a reservation, it was half full and very chill on a Thursday.Quite a lot of bright light (as for me).Service is nice, friendly people.I had a sirloin steak (22) and it was very good. But I would highly recommend their Monkfish (20) made like on fire.My friend had it and it was delicious! Plus quite a huge piece of it.So far very generous prices. A bottle of is about 20.Great for small groups.Recommended!
