This 1-Michelin-starred restaurant truly exceeded expectations! In fact, I'd choose this experience multiple times over some 3-star meals I've had.Dining with another couple, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, allowing for dedicated attention throughout the evening. The food was exceptional, showcasing the essence of Catalan cuisine with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Despite its Michelin status, the meal retained a sense of approachability and everyday charm. The wine list was also refreshingly affordable. My favorite dishes included:* Tempura Maitake and Mushroom Tea: The mushroom tea was a revelation, like a refined and cleaner version of mushroom soup.* Fricandó Fritter: The combination of the fritter, beef, and sauce created an explosion of flavors.* Mediterranean Seafood Salad with Jerusalem Artichoke: The kombu sauce added a playful and unexpected element to this dish.* Emporda Style Doughnut with Aniseed Foam: A delightful and satisfying end to the meal. This restaurant offers a fantastic value proposition with its high-quality food, intimate setting, and reasonable prices.
I just had a very pleasant birthday dinner there, the vegetarian menu was creative and tasty!!! mainly Catalan style dishes, staff there was very friendly!!! thanks , will back again!
I tried the Lluerna menu, a 10-dish experience in a lovely setting with excellent service. The dishes arrived beautifully presented, but I felt the flavors could be more distinct. It’s a minor point to refine, and I hope the team considers this to elevate the experience.
1 Michelin star. Great weekday lunch menu for 73. The menu is focused on seafood and is quite creative. My favorite course was a white eggplant from Maresme that was super tender and coated in a thin batter made of three different flours and deep-fried.The wine list has a lot of natural wine, at least 5 orange wines.
Let me start with the positives. The food is generally good, occasionally very good, showcasing the kitchen's commendable efforts. The standout was the “egg” dish, which was truly exceptional. However, the wine pairing was disappointing. The selections didn’t complement the dishes, lacked a coherent concept, and some were simply underwhelming. The service was another letdown, falling short of fine dining standards. The staff's inexperience was evident, though their efforts were noticeable. Proper training would greatly enhance the overall experience. In summary, it was a pleasant evening, but it didn’t surpass expectations.
