La Plata is a wonderfully traditional spot with an authentic atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. They serve their own vermouth and wines, which adds a special touch to the visit. However, I was a bit disappointed to see that beer is only available in bottles rather than on tap.The food menu is quite limited, but every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a simple yet authentic local experience, this place is definitely worth a visit!
The most understated bar we came across in Barcelona. Snacks are really wonderful- the whitebait (as we would call it ) has to be tried. Don’t miss outWines are poured from barrels stored at ceiling heightI’d imagine it gets busy in summer , we managed to get a table in January but also went in October where we had to drink and eat in the street ( no tables)Try it!
one of best Tapas place in town. I love the Sausage and they have also great Sangria! Pepperoni Fry was also good. The old lady at the front is totally unsocial but compensated by the other lady who was super friendly
Our other favorite restaurant we tried in Barcelona. We tried one of everything on the menu as it's a very short menu. They've had the same menu for 45 years and perfected every dish.Pictured is the Pan con Tomate, fried anchovies, anchovy fillets and the tomato onion salad. All were delicious and we had tiny glasses of cold red wine with it. Superb meal!
Unassuming little spot with some great tapas. They have had the same handful of menu items since the 1940’s unchanged. They also make their own table wine and have a fun little device that the table uses to drink it. If it’s not broke don’t fix it seems to be the motto here. Enjoy!
